Teen golf champ Charlotte Naughton is celebrating a successful year after competing for her club, school, county, region and country.
Selected to represent England Golf in an international match, Charlotte, a year 11 student at Ponteland High School, travelled to Dublin's Carton House Golf Club for a weekend competition against the Irish U16 Team.
England Under 16s triumphed on all three sessions, besting the Irish 15-9.
The teams enjoyed foursomes battles on Saturday morning, with England coming out on top 5-1, before edging the fourballs battles 3.5-2.5 in the afternoon.
England remained resolute, clinching the win on the final day.
Five England players, including Charlotte, remained undefeated across their three matches.
Echoing the success, England Girls Assistant Performance Manager India Clyburn said: "The standard of golf was high from both sides which was great to see going into the winter training period.
"We played with a great team spirit and togetherness which was awesome to see.
"We’d like to extend our thanks to Golf Ireland and Carton House for hosting us so well and we look forward to returning the favour when we host Ireland next year."
Charlotte has been selected for the England Golf U18 National Squad, which will see her training over the winter at Woodhall Spa and at Quinta Do Lago, Portugal.
