The FA Cup third round draw was a dream one for lots of Geordies as Sunderland were drawn at home against fierce rivals Newcastle United.
Both teams are entering the cup at this stage but they may have very different aspirations when it comes to their hopes of winning the trophy.
Newcastle's last major trophy came in 1955 when they lifted the FA Cup, but they have shown signs that they can end that barren run, having reached the final of the Carabao Cup last season.
Sunderland, meanwhile, won the FA Cup in 1973, but will definitely be considered the underdogs for this game against higher opposition.
The Toon sit seventh in the Premier League following the 3-0 defeat against Everton on Thursday, while Sunderland, who are currently managerless following Tony Mowbray's sacking, sit ninth in the second tier.
Unsurprisingly, the game has been selected for TV, and will be shown on ITV on January 6, with kick-off at 12:45pm.
