Sunderland are set to sign a former Tottenham Hotspur youngster ahead of Thursday's transfer deadline.
According to renowned football journalist Fabrizio Romano, the Black Cats will sign Standard Liège midfielder Romaine Mundle.
The 20-year-old has struggled for regular game time in Belgium since leaving Spurs in the summer, managing just six appearances for the first team.
Despite signing a contract until 2027, the young midfielder has reportedly travelled to England today to sign a permanent deal at the Stadium of Light, as Sunderland continue their ethos of signing youngsters.
He could replace Alex Pritchard, who made himself unavailable in Michael Beale's squad ahead of last Saturday's 3-1 win against Stoke City, as he seeks a transfer away from the club.
