Hexham Tennis Club are set to host an open day this month to help local people discover or rekindle a love for tennis.
The club, which is located alongside the cricket club entrance, have an open day on Saturday April 20, between 11-2pm for children or adults interested in playing tennis.
Hexham Tennis Club said: "It’s a great way to meet some of our members and give it a go. Did you know at our Hexham club it costs the equivalent of only £15 a month for an adult over 25 years old to play, and only £4 a month for those aged 8 to 18 years old?
"Whether it’s rekindling a love of tennis, or trying a new sport, visit our friendly club in its attractive setting with great facilities (six all-weather courts) and a practice ball machine. You can also come and hear about our Padel court which will be installed later this year.
"Our head coach Tom and his coaches will be organising some games or just come and have a knock with one of our members. We welcome seasoned pros and beginners and the club offers a range of group and one-to-one coaching."
Attendees simply have to wear trainers and comfortable clothing, as racquets and balls will be provided.
The club added: "We look forward to welcoming you to our club. Refreshments are available, come and enjoy our pavilion and facilities. There is no need to book."
