England Golf has announced the squads for the upcoming Women’s and Men’s Home Internationals, and the Girls’ and Boys’ Home Internationals.

On the Girls' squad, Charlotte Naughton, a Ponteland High School student from Longhirst, was named.

She finished second at the Girls’ U16 Amateur Championship, the St Rule Trophy, and the Sir Henry Cooper Junior Championship this year.

Ms Naughton also placed in the top 10 at the 2024 English U18 Amateur Stroke Play Championship.

She won the 2022 English U14 Girls' Championship, and has represented England in three U16 international matches.

She also helped England win bronze at the recent European Young Masters, and to win the 2024 European Girls’ Team Championship.

Jess Baker from Newcastle is among the women representing England.

Ms Baker won the 2022 Women’s Amateur Championship.

She represented England in the 2023 European Ladies Team Championship, and helped England win bronze at the 2024 event.

She has already enjoyed three top-10 finishes in 2024 across the USA and UK.

The Women's and Men's matches are to be held at Murcar Links, Scotland, from August 7 to 9, while the Girls’ and Boys’ matches will take place from August 6 to 8 at Conwy Golf Club, Wales.

England Golf performance manager Ben Gorvett said: "We’ve had a successful couple of months on the whole, with three teams medalling in the European Team Championships, accompanied by a team and individual medal at the European Young Masters and strong representation in the St Andrews Trophy last week.

"We are aiming to continue on this trajectory against talented opposition at Murcar Links and Conwy in August."

England are the reigning champions in all the events, having won the combined Girls’ and Boys’ Home Internationals every year since they started in 2021, and both the combined Women’s and Men’s Home Internationals since they began in 2022.
