Northern Allstars Goalball Club has put out a call for new members and volunteers.
The club was set up in 2022 and is the only one in the region for goalball, a sport designed specifically for the visually impaired.
The Northern Allstars boasts a GB Goalball woman and two GB Goalball men among its members and had a 'great' season last year, winning medals including gold in the National Super League and gold in Regional League A.
The club, which is run by volunteers who are all visually impaired, is keen to attract more people from across the North East.
The sport is said to be good for people's health while offering the chance to socialise with others who are visually impaired.
Committee member Holly Graham is set to take part in the Great North Run to fundraise for the club.
