Five youngsters from Prudhoe enjoyed an unforgettable Paris Olympics trip.
The group stayed with host families in the town of Mitry Mory in north-central France from July 22 to 25.
The Prudhoe Dolphins members engaged in a series of activities.
Members Phoebe Juniper, Katie Melville, Ellen Maxwell, Daniel Hall, and Finlay Haygarth were accompanied by their swim coach and town councillor Jane Johnson.
The programme included sports, cultural visits, art sessions, and a relaxing beach trip.
Attending the Olympic Women’s Rugby Sevens at Stade de France was a standout for the group.
Councillor Johnson said: “Being part of the opening ceremony was incredible and there was such a great atmosphere in the stadium.”
“This exchange was a fantastic opportunity for our young people to immerse themselves in the spirit of the Paris Olympics.
“The experiences they gained and the friendships they forged will undoubtedly have a lasting impact.
“We are grateful to Mitry Mory for their warm hospitality and for providing such a memorable week.”
