Hexham Ladies First Team at Hexham Golf Club have retained the Northumberland Ladies County Division One Shield for the seventh time in eight years.
Lady captain Gillian Arnott congratulated the team members on their achievement against clubs including Bamburgh Castle, Alnmouth, Ponteland, Arcot Hall, Northumberland, and the City of Newcastle.
She said: "Congratulations to Hexham Ladies First Team who have retained the Northumberland Ladies County Division One Shield for a magnificent seven years out of the last eight."
Three players, June Lomax, Susan He, and Val Robinson, will represent Hexham and Northumberland in the English Women’s Champion Club at Hessle Golf Club next weekend.
They will compete in a 36-hole scratch stroke play over two days.
The club with the lowest combined score of the two best players each day will be crowned the winner.
An official trophy presentation will take place later in the year.
